What We’ve Done
- Solar panel powers timer and control box turning pumps on automatically.
- Water pumps from the Reservoir Tank to these valves for hanging baskets.
- Water drips down these straws and trickles right into the base of hanging baskets to water them efficiently.
- Water pumps from the reservoir tank up to the top tray which fills like a pool, allowing just the roots to be watered.
- Over Flow drains funnel water into the middle tray, and then down the bottom tray. From the bottom tray water returns to the Reservoir tank.
- The trays also act as collection trays for rainwater which replenishes the Reservoir Tank.
- The reservoir tank holds 300 gallons of water which is recirculated and used over and over again.

Goal
The Flourish System is a self contained, solar powered, automated plant watering system for uses in box store garden centers. The solar panel powers a timer and pumps requiring no outside electricity. It eliminates the need for daily watering which can cause slipping hazards to customers and employees. The system is made of recycled materials. It conserves and reuses water and prevents run off of pesticides and fertilizers into local ecosystems.

- System collects its own water (but can be filled in times of little rain.)
- System is solar powered and requires no outside electricity (but can be plugged in for inside use.)
- System minimizes run off into sewars and local ecosystems and reuses water over and over again instead of pouring it all over the ground.
- System prevents over and underwater (timer can be adjusted to water according to plant type and local climate.)
- System is made from recycled materials and is 90% recycleable.
- System is designed to drop onto racks already in most garden centers so you dont have to scrap the racks they already have.
- System minimizes slips and falls by decreasing puddles and hose tripping hazards.
- System requires less skilled labor and ensures no over or under watering.
